At Standup Historian, I’m committed to reviewing books that spark intellectual and cultural conversations, reflecting my passion for storytelling as seen in my novel, Conversation with Coyote. This policy outlines the criteria for books I accept for review to ensure alignment with my focus and expertise.
Accepted Genres
I review books in the following genres:
- Science Fiction: Thought-provoking narratives exploring technology, humanity, or speculative futures.
- History: Scholarly or narrative works delving into historical events, figures, or cultural movements.
- Philosophy: Texts examining existential, ethical, or metaphysical questions, from ancient to modern perspectives.
- Religious Books: Works exploring spiritual traditions, theology, or religious philosophy, including cross-cultural perspectives inspired by thinkers like Rumi.
Exclusions
To maintain focus, I do not review books centered on gender-bending themes, woke ideologies, or LGBTQ+ narratives, as these fall outside my areas of interest and expertise.
Submission Guidelines
- Format: Digital (PDF or EPUB) or physical copies accepted.
- Content: Reviews are honest, thoughtful, and shared on this site, Amazon, and Goodreads.
- Timeline: Allow 4-6 weeks for review completion, depending on volume.
